Boo! Halloween is Just Around the Corner! Scary, Huh?

halloween sewing suggestions

It may be too soon for carving pumpkins, but, hey, creepy clementines will do to get you in the mood for one of our favourite holidays … Halloween!!

Yup, we know, it seems like summer only just started.  Yet here comes Halloween, only weeks away and it’s time to think about those terrifying (secretly adorable!) costumes and trick or treating accessories for your little ones.  Time to get sewing!

Our Makower UK solids lend themselves to all kinds of costume ideas to mix with choice patterned prints and viola! You’ll have the perfect supplies needed for creating the gear for pirates, pumpkins, witches, monsters, scarecrows, robots, devils and more fiendish costumes!  Have a peek at Makower’s Little Monsters range, too, for inspirations!  We are loving those Skulls on Blue!

Don’t forget to sew an easy-peasy drawstring bag for gathering up all those goodies while out trick or treating.  Want to keep it simple and old school?  Go for an upcycled pillowcase!

Think party decorations, too!  We love this mix for setting a fun but scary scene with bunting and wall art for your Halloween party featuring Andover Fabrics’ Chillingsworth Skeleton panel and Makower UK’s Spots and Circle in Purple from the Walkabout range. Oh, and you can stitch up some coordinating little treat bags for your party guests!
