Guinevere in Cream by Rachel Erickson of Citrus and Mint for Riley Blake Designs

Right fellow Thread Heads!  I’ve got a little story for you with this Riley Blake 100% cotton floral fabric.  You know when you see something that immediately takes you back to a childhood memory?  When this fabric arrived in the e-shop, I had one of those moments!  One year for Christmas when I was a little girl around 1970, I received a musical jewelry box that was shaped like a royal carriage with a princess and a queen seated at each of the windows.  It was very of it’s time with its colour scheme and style of the drawings painted onto the box.  All over at the wheels of the box were clusters of flowers in brights and pastels, drawn with simplistic, bold lines – very flower power! And the flowers in this sweet Riley Blake print look so much like the flowers from that cherished gift!

This fabric would look lovely as part of a quilt, or used as a dress for yourself or your favourite little one!

Manufacturer’s Recommended Washing Instructions:  Machine wash cold with similar colours. Do not dry clean.  Do not bleach.  Tumble dry low.  Remove promptly.  Use a warm iron only as necessary.  This fabric does not meet flammability standards for children’s sleepwear.

Thread Head Fabrics recommends you pre-wash your fabrics before starting your sewing projects as cotton fabric will shrink slightly when washed.
